Lefiole

An old farmhouse, a key that opens a trunk and two bottles of wine from two special vintages, thus begins the story of Elisa and Silvia two sisters with a great passion for wine.

Elisa and Silvia, one Sunday in July, went to the grandfather Guglielmo's old farmhouse in Montalto pavese and snooping around they found a key that opened a trunk, in this were stored two bottles of wine from two special vintages those of their births. That was a sign. Here  this new adventure started and was born the winery lefiole, which in dialect means the girls.

We are in Montalto pavese, in the territory of Oltrepò pavese, a geographical area of about 1,000 km2 located on the 45th parallel an imaginary line that marks the equidistance from the North Pole and the Equator, a watershed between the too-cold North and too-warm South.
According to the literature, the 45th parallel is the ideal latitude of all the great wines of the world. 

Grandpa Guglielmo used to cultivate to give to the social wineries of the area. The same trade that Dad Enzo continued to do, with dedication and  love for these lands. Elisa and Silvia decided to give an extra gear to the winery, close the supply chain and start bottling.

12-hectare vineyard planted with Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir from which they make a metodo classico (sparkling), a white wine, a red wine and a riserva.
