The Masseria is a farm located in Roccapalumba, an area of Sicily dominated by nature, fields, palm trees and the famous prickly pears. It was built in 1947 by Baron Giovanni Riso, now known for Palazzo Riso, a contemporary art museum in Palermo.
The farm has been managed for over 30 years by his grand-daughter Emanuela, an agronomist who is super passionate about the countryside and the joy that living in the open air offers.
Modern and ancient wheats (such as Senatore Cappelli, Maiorca and Antalis) are cultivated to produce artisanal pasta in different shapes.
In the Masseria we find a lot of olive groves (Biancolilla and Nocellara del Belice) for the production of an evo IGP oil with a really cute name: Oreste. Emanuela decided to name this oil as her father, with a view to continuity and the passion for the countryside they shared.
Among farm''s activities there is also the breeding of Ragusan donkeys, very empathetic to mankind, used to welcome schools on a didactic farm, the feather in the cap of this reality, recognised by the Sicilian Region with an official accreditation.
Masseria delle acque is an enchanting place, surrounded by greenery, where you can breathe peace and serenity. A period residence with nature playing the leading role and where you can stay while enjoying the environment and the delicacies prepared by Emanuela.
